Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets
These south-side markets are one of Canberra’s oldest markets. They began as a farmers market, providing a community for surrounding farmers from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Now, the markets are home to over 40 traders, ranging from inexpensive, local produce, specialty grocers, artisan bakeries and lunch-time options. The Fyshwick Markets are still a local cultural cornerstone, as all the shops owned and staffed by Canberrans. These markets are a wonderful destination for a weekend morning.
Dairy Road
A relatively new neighbourhood and business district created by Molonoglo group that is home to several iconic Canberra business, such as:
- Capital Brewing Co. – A well known, 100% independent brewery with an onsite tap house, which is shared with restaurant Brodburger. Capital Brewing is a and deeply engaged with the Canberra community.

Red Brick
Fyshwick is their flagship store and roastery. It is the first of their four locations throughout Canberra where they provide expertly brewed coffee. Their Fyshwick space is minimalistic and perfect for studying, meetings or catch-ups. The roasters/cafe is large and open, allowing you to see into the production of their speciality coffee. Their staff are very welcoming and happy to educate all on their coffee. Redbrick also holds free public tasting every Saturday morning and has a small selection of light meals available.
Keep Co.
Keep Co is a Fyshwick-based communal workspace (or co-working spaces) for creative people and companies looking for support and a space to build creative ideas in Canberra. They work as a community centre for small businesses and individuals, providing network opportunities and a pleasant working environment. They also provide several workshops related to creative industries and past times. Keep Co is situated with Fyshwick’s Dairy Road, and helps foster a diverse and thriving business and arts community within Fyshwick.
